KNOWLEDGE CENTRE 

MII KC is the abbreviation for The Malaysia Insurance Institute Knowledge Centre. It is a specialized library that provides a wide range of insurance related reference materials for professional examination, research studies and self development. This centre probably is the most comprehensive knowledge centre housing insurance related materials existed in this country

The main objective of MII KC are to provide access to quality resources and to become the hub of information sources and services to facilitate capacity building for the industry in insurance and related technical areas. 

The transformation of the Knowledge Centre since 2007 is guided by its long term road map which focuses on the development of three main pillars.

•  Knowledge Management

The main library of the Knowledge Centre was located to Maju Junction Mall estabalished since 15 January 2008. The locations provides easy access  and offers conducive learning experience to the members.

The Knowledge Centre on Jalan Semantan of Damansara Heights is still in operation and acts as the branch library. It houses past year journals, magazines, annual reports, conference papers, research and project papers useful for the researchers.

ADMISSION

Admission to the premises and use of its services and facilities are exclusively  for members only. Please sign up MII Membership as Affiliate, Orrdinary, Associate or Fellow in order to access to library services and e-portal. Please contact our membership department for further details.

BORROWING OF REFERENCE

You are required to place a deposit amounting RM150 (min holding period is 1 year) before you are allowed to borrow the reference materials. We will refer you membership as Gold. Please bring along your membership card if you wish to borrow books.

K-Multimedia PCs (MCC) - Knowledge at a "click" 

Surf the internet and experience our selection of computer based training from our multimedia PCs. Our selection of online database and reference are accessible from these PCs. Online subsription such as Insurance Day UK, Insurance Day Asia , ReReport, Chartered Insurance Institute, Reaction, Review and many more.

K-Views (MCC) : Knowledge exploration through electronic media. MII have subscribed ASTRO to further encourage members to coming and using the facilities.

K- Info Board (MCC): The Knowledge & Info board show the Insurance Day articles, Insurance Newspaper Clipping and Special Focus of the month to inspire members and further promoting insurance related knowledge and information.

K-Gallery (HQ) : Express your thoughts through visual arts & be inspired with what you see.

Exhibits art work  including paintings, collages,photographs, graffiti, sketches etc.

K-Activity Room (MCC)  :

A dedicated room to hold an activity such as meeting, discussion, play board games and studying. This has provided a platform for social and networking among members.

Knowledge through games with variety of games board  that is fun  and challenging board games and brain teaser such as scrabbles, bingo, mastermind, monopoly, risk, family games, uno and many more on-site. These games will encourage the knowledge community to challenge their thinking skill and facilitate networking among community members.

Study Room and reading space (HQ & MCC): Conducive learning space.

Photocopying (MCC):  The photocopying is available at the rate of RM0.40 per copy.

Scanning (HQ & MCC) : Free for  members
